Hurley Palmer Flatt launches new smart buildings division

Engineering consultancy Hurley Palmer Flatt Group has launched a smart building division, with the introduction of an eight-stage framework that will support landlords, tenants and occupiers in planning appropriate smart building strategies. 

The firm has established the new division to capitalise on the increasing impact of smart buildings becoming digital assets with the ability to support everyday lives, improving wellbeing. Launching the new division, the firm said: “The full benefit from the internet of things requires us to understand, adopt and change to realise its capability. Big data and analytics will transform our space and how we use it, enabling us to capitalise on the end products of increased efficiency and agility.”

Hurley Palmer Flatt believe that forward thinking organisations realise that their future working environments will have to compete to attract the next generation in to the workplace and smart tech can, and will, support this.
