Clancy Consulting has appointed Wendy Stanton as divisional director to strengthen its civil and structural engineering team.

Based in the multi-disciplinary engineering practice’s Birmingham office, and already with a strong profile locally, Stanton will be working across the Midlands region with a key focus on growing and developing the C&S engineering offering across various public and private sectors.

Following 10 years at Fairhurst’s Birmingham office as regional director, Stanton also developed her career during 15 years at URS Corporation (an AECOM company).

Mike Powers, director of the Birmingham office at Clancy, said: “Having an excellent presence within the local market, Wendy’s appointment is a terrific opportunity for the Birmingham office to develop and grow – in fact it’s a real game changer for us.

“As well as expanding our portfolio with new opportunities, we’re keen to start introducing Wendy to our existing clients to further develop conversations around collaboration and best practice solutions.”

Currently celebrating 50 years in business, Clancy has made a number of key appointments during the year, most recently building services engineer Scott Lydon has been promoted to director to strategically develop the Birmingham office.
