Mott MacDonald starts search for head of economic and social development

Mott MacDonald is seeking a head of economic and social development to lead the growth and development of its economic and social development (ESD) team in the firm’s integrated transport division.

Reporting to the divisional general manager, the unique role is needed to lead and grow Mott MacDonald’s client base and markets in profitable areas that build upon the firm’s established client base and expertise in infrastructure economics, transport business case, heath market assessments, equalities impacts and research and development in the economic and social aspects of the firm’s business.

The role involves managing the direction and profitable growth of Mott’s ESD business, growing the business in current and new markets in the UK and beyond, maintaining spending on allocated overhead lines to budget, accountability for the creation and maintenance of an effective account structure with delegation of responsibilities within the account to team leaders across the integrated transport division locations as appropriate.

The head of economic and social development will also develop a marketing plan working with managers and other account leaders across locations and also drive the innovation and ‘productisation’ of market offerings to improve client focus, service efficiency and profitability.
