Calling all consultancy and engineering firms in the north

Are you a consultancy and engineering firm based in the north of England?  If so, ACE is very keen for your views on how the Northern Powerhouse agenda can be shaped and how ACE can promote your interests across the north.

Following announcements in the recent budget and the government’s industrial strategy, it’s clear that there is still significant political weight behind the devolution agenda.

This has been given even more importance with the developing work of the new metro mayors in Greater Manchester, Liverpool, and the Tees Valley and the plans for new mayors north of the Tyne and in Sheffield.

ACE is keen to hear comments on a range of issues related to the Northern Powerhouse and devolution agenda and how these affect businesses in the north.

These include the importance of political and investment decisions being moved to the north, whether the Northern Powerhouse should increase its focus on the social agenda (such as housing, skills, education and health), where future investment in new transport infrastructure should be made, and how important digital infrastructure is for the region.

Consultancy and engineering firms can have their say on these important issues by responding to ACE’s survey on the Northern Powerhouse. The results will help shape ACE’s future work and ensure that the voice of the industry is heard. The deadline to complete the survey is 12 January 2018.
