Lord Heseltine joins ACE Annual Conference speaker line up

Lord Michael Heseltine has joined the line up of speakers at the ACE Annual Conference, taking place on Wednesday 21 May at the Marriott Grosvenor Square in London. With government set to enact many recommendations from his report, No stone unturned, Lord Heseltine will join us for an informal questions and answers session on his views on everything from localism, the future of the city, encouraging regeneration and development,  and devolving the responsibility and the means for rebalancing the economy away from the South East.

The battle over the importance of infrastructure has been won. The key now will be how the UK’s future infrastructure will integrate communities and allow them to take advantage of the opportunities they open up. ACE’s 2014 Annual Conference – ‘Integrating infrastructure, building our future” -  explores these key challenges and opportunities, investigating the ways in which infrastructure will link people with jobs, training, and resources if the UK is to succeed.  Sessions will look at this from the transport and utilities angles, as well as how the devolved nations and regions are tackling this subject.

Other speakers already confirmed include: Alison Munro, chief executive HS2; Graham Dalton, chief executive, Highways Agency; Mike Putnam, co-chair, Green Construction Board; Professor David Mosey, Kings College London.
