British Expertise announce awards shortlist

The shortlist has been announced for the British Expertise International Awards 2020. The awards are the UK’s principle forum for celebrating the very best of UK infrastructure exports and are open to all UK-based professional services firms working internationally. Entries are welcome from all companies and for any individuals that feel they have made an outstanding contribution to the sector.

British Expertise International is the UK’s leading membership organisation for UK-based companies exporting infrastructure services, with a particular focus on the dynamic and growing markets of Asia, the Middle East, Africa, Latin America and south east Europe. 

The shortlist is as follows:

International Business of the Year
This prestigious award is made to the UK professional services organisation that is judged to have achieved the most impressive overall business performance internationally during 2019. Judging will be based on clarity of international strategy, achievement of revenue and the provision of a strong case study.

International SME Business of the Year
Small and medium sized businesses can also achieve remarkable success in the international arena. This award will have the same criteria as above, but is open to organisations with fewer than 250 employees.

International Architecture & Design Project 
British companies have an outstanding international reputation in architecture and engineering design. This award will celebrate the most innovative and influential overseas architecture and design project undertaken by a UK based organisation.

International Development Physical Project
International development work is a strong area for British companies.  This award will go to the most effective international development of a physical project undertaken by a UK based company.

International Development Non-Physical Project
This award will go to the most effective non-physical development project undertaken by a UK based company.

Cardno Emerging Markets – Research for Community Access Partnership

Scriptoria – An Advance Cloud Based database – crops in Sub Saharan Africa

International Environmental Impact Award
This award celebrates the efforts of British companies to tackle environmental challenges abroad in the increasingly important struggle against environmental change.

IMC Worldwide – Planning for the integration of Climate Resilience in the Road Transport Sector in Borrowing Member Countries of the Caribbean Development Bank 
Mott MacDonald – Water for Growth Rwanda 
Winch Energy – Sierra Leone, 24 Villages & 1 Community Health Centre

International Positive Social Impact Award
This award will be made to the organisation that is judged to have demonstrated innovation, excellence and lasting positive social impact within the last 24 months internationally.
