Stantec opens new office in the heart of Brighton

Stantec has opened a new office in the heart of Brighton.

Stantec has opened a new office in the heart of Brighton, adding to its dozens of other offices across the UK and Ireland, and is looking to recruit new staff for a number of new roles over the coming months.

The company's new 4,400 square foot space at Huntington House in Brighton will provide a hub for its teams sitting in a range of sectors and will enable it to further connect with existing and prospective clients within the Sussex region.

Ben Elsworth, Stantec’s operations director, described the office as a “game-changer” for the firm.

“As well as offering a fantastic space, it is extremely accessible being a 10-minute walk from the station and only five minutes away from the beach,” he said.

“Our new workspace will bring our teams closer together, while strengthening our client relationships.

“The UK projects we work on at Stantec are key to shaping a healthier, sustainable, and more resilient nation.

“Whether encouraging active travel, incorporating smart mobility and inclusivity into plans, or rethinking the way we look at buildings, water, energy, and resources, we are always designing with community in mind.”

The Brighton office will be looking to fill graduate and apprenticeship positions across various sectors over the next few months, as well as more senior planning, engineering and design roles.

The new hires will be able to work on some of the country’s most transformative and iconic engineering and design projects.

Elsworth said the firm was “delighted to be able to open doors for young people looking to enter the industry while also offering dynamic and rewarding opportunities for established practitioners”.

The company already works extensively with Southern Water, which is benefitting from support to increase the long-term resilience of its water networks.

The Stantec teams also have a long-standing presence in the region having supported community development and active travel schemes.

The new workspace has been designed with the health and wellbeing of 45 staff in mind. It is already open but will be holding a launch event for colleagues and clients in the coming weeks.
