North west construction summit this week to address key industry issues

The Point, venue of this years Greater Manchester Chamber Construction Summit.

More than 300 delegates from across the north west are set to attend this week's Greater Manchester Chamber Construction Summit which takes place at The Point at Emirates Old Trafford on Wednesday 18 July 2018.

The event will give attendees the chance to connect with some of the biggest names in the industry, as well as providing them with a unique opportunity to discuss the latest developments in the region and across the UK construction sector.

The summit, which is in its fifth year, will be focusing on the following topics:

  • Client requirements - including new procurement routes, with keynote speaker Simon Gorski, Managing Director of UK Regions at Lendlease 
  • Productivity - digital, manufacturing/engineering with keynote speaker Dr Mark Bew, PCSG chairman
  • Greater Manchester Housing Deal and the construction skills shortage with keynote speaker Andy Burnham, mayor of Greater Manchester

The summit will be chaired by BBC presenter Andy Crane.

Each of the keynote speakers will be followed by a panel debate, short round table discussion and audience questions and answers. There will also be the chance for delegates to take part in three workshops, with full details to follow.
