Get the lowdown on the government’s expanded furlough scheme

Late last Friday evening, the government shared not one, but six, updated guidance documents on the next phase of the Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme.

To help businesses in the consultancy and engineering sector understand what this means, the Association for Consultancy and Engineering (ACE) is hosting a new episode of its Navigating Covid-19 webinars on Wednesday 17 June at 12pm. Speaking at the event will be Michael Archer from ACE’s legal affiliate Beale & Co.

At the Navigating Covid-19: Expanding furlough webinar, Archer will be on hand to explain the nuances of the extended job retention scheme, including in what circumstances furlough can be extended until October, how it can now be used for those on part-time contracts, how holiday can now be included, the sliding scale of payments to businesses and what deadlines firms need to be aware of.

ACE will also be updating its coronavirus employment schemes guidance in the coming days and attendees will be among the first to receive a link to download it.
