EDAROTH appoints John Judge as operations director

Former Mott MacDonald director John Judge, pictured, has joined Atkins subsidiary EDAROTH as operations director.

EDAROTH, the affordable and social housing subsidiary of Atkins, has appointed John Judge as its operations director.

Judge, who has over 30 years’ industry experience, will be responsible for overseeing the sourcing, manufacturing and assembly of housing and apartment products, as EDAROTH works with clients to unlock under-utilised land and offsite manufacturing to tackle the UK’s housing challenge.

Prior to joining Atkins, Judge, formerly a director at Mott MacDonald, ran his own infrastructure management consultancy for 15 years which saw him support client, consultant and contractor organisations in the UK and overseas, delivering projects across the transportation, energy, water, marine, telecommunications and manufacturing sectors.

Mark Powell, EDAROTH managing director, said: “John brings a wealth of experience and a proven record of supporting delivery of highly complex and demand driven projects through disciplined management.

“His analytical and strategic approach to problem solving will be an asset to us as we look to deliver social housing by transforming brownfield land to bring forward much needed housing developments which benefit from existing infrastructure, utilities and services.”

EDAROTH was launched in January 2020 to provide end-to-end development solutions which focus on delivering social and affordable housing at the point of need.

To date, it has completed a development in Lambeth, south London; secured places on the North and Mid-Wales Residential Construction framework and PAGABO developer-led framework; and is actively working with local authorities and housing associations to open up a pipeline of projects which will deliver social and affordable homes.
