Stantec has appointed Kevin Herman to its UK environmental services business as senior associate in the environmental planning team, based in London to help to grow Stantec’s environmental planning presence in London and the south east. He has a secondary remit of developing Stantec’s wider portfolio of water and geotechnical/geoscience related services.

Herman, who has more than 15 years of consultancy experience in environmental and project management, will be supporting the planning and delivery of regeneration, development, and infrastructure projects, working closely with other senior members of Stantec’s multidisciplinary London and Kent offices. In addition to leading growth activities, Herman will also oversee environmental teams in the production of environmental statements for major projects.

Previously, Herman managed multidisciplinary projects and acted as Stantec’s London environmental team leader. He has extensive experience in both the private and public sectors as a project manager, with expertise in ensuring environmental compliance for major infrastructure, urban regeneration and strategic land projects for Transport for London, National Grid, Welbeck Strategic Land, Countryside Properties and Berkeley Homes.

Commenting on Herman’s appointment, Simon Randall, environmental services director at Stantec, said: “I am delighted that Kevin has joined our growing and vibrant team in the London and south east region. It’s an exciting multi-sector market and with Kevin’s leadership working alongside established colleagues, we’re in a great position to help even more clients to progress their projects with Stantec’s support”.

Stantec’s director of environmental planning Stefan Boss said: “We’re delighted to welcome such an experienced environmental planner to help us further our growth in London and the south east. Kevin’s track record will be invaluable as we continue to support developments that truly design with the community in mind."
