WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff boosts global advisory role with new hire

Derek Pitcher has joined WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff’s global property team as global director for advisory services, based in London.

Former Sweett Europe managing director, Pitcher has more than 30 years’ experience in the industry and has worked on a number of well-known UK schemes, particularly in the retail sector. Internationally, he has worked in a number of regions including Europe and the USA, where he has been principally involved in attracting foreign direct investment into the UK real estate market.

Pitcher is also active on industry bodies and is the honorary treasurer of the BCSC and also a member of the RICS Commercial Property Market Forum, RICS Infrastructure panel and the UK Green Building Council Leaders Network.

He will support WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff’s continued growth in programme management, project management, and cost consultancy services. Commenting on his appointment, Pitcher said: “I am looking forward to this exciting challenge.  I have had a close working relationship with WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff for a number of years and believe there is great potential to develop the synergies within the business.”
