In recognition of the central part that the environmental protection and sustainability sector plays in driving the UK economy, Infrastructure Intelligence this week launches its new Environmental Hub as the key place to find critical information to drive best practice by businesses across the sector.

The Environment Hub brings together all the latest analysis, thought leading viewpoints and articles on the critical environmental issues facing infrastructure professionals.

Infrastructure Intelligence has teamed up with specialist environmental and planning consultant Temple Group to curate the content and to ensure that it contains articles on the most important issues and comment from the sector’s most influential practitioners.

The new Environment Hub kicks off with a range of featured articles including:

  • a critical look at Environmental Impact Assessments,
  • analysis of the sustainable drivers behind Network Rail’s digital Railway and
  • a preview of next week’s EIC annual conference.

“Small improvements every time added up to a big difference,” writes Temple Group director Chris Fry as he kicks off the Hub with a discussion on how to push toward high performance client delivery.

“Don’t be afraid to adapt the best ideas from wherever you can get them,” he adds, in many ways exemplifying the philosophy behind the Hub and of Temple’s involvement of sharing the best ideas and passing on knowledge across the industry.

Throughout the curation of quality editorial content we will also work closely with the Environmental Industries Commission - the acknowledged “voice of the green economy” - and its members to closely reflect the key issues affecting the industry.

The Environmental Industries Commission (EIC) was founded in 1995 to represent the businesses which provide the technology and services that deliver environmental performance across the economy.

The launch of the Environment Hub coincides with the EIC’s relaunched annual conference on Tuesday 2 December which, for the first time in over six years will bring together EIC members and professionals from across the sector to debate the key issues of the moment.

Next week’s theme of “establishing a green agenda” will generate content for the Hub as politicians from across the political spectrum set out their manifesto plans to put the environment at the heart of the post-election economy.

The new Environment Hub kicks off with a range of featured articles including a critical look at Environmental Impact Assessments, analysis of the sustainable drivers behind Network Rail’s digital Railway and a preview of next week’s EIC annual conference.
