Royal HaskoningDHV appoints new UK business strategy director

Royal HaskoningDHV has appointed Alan Gerrett as its new UK business strategy director.

Gerrett, who is set to play a leading role in growing the company’s business in the UK, joins the company from DEME Group, where he held the role of managing director of a new UK operating company having overseen its establishment following the development and implementation of a new business model for the UK.

In his role as Royal HaskoningDHV’s UK business strategy director, Gerrett will primarily work with the management teams of the Maritime and Aviation and Transport and Planning business lines to increase Royal HaskoningDHV’s profile and share of the maritime business and position the company to grow further into the UK infrastructure market.

Gerrett has significant experience in technical engineering, having worked in senior management roles at Hochtief and VolkerWessels. 

Craig Huntbatch, resident director of Royal HaskoningDHV’s UK operations, commented: “We’re delighted to welcome Alan to the team here in the UK. He has extensive industry experience which is key for us, having worked in marine engineering and infrastructure. His knowledge of offshore wind and tidal within the renewables sector will be invaluable to maintaining our leading position in this industry in the UK.”
