Great Places Housing Group invites bids for £750m framework

Great Places Housing Group invites bids for £750m framework.

Great Places Housing Group is inviting bidders for its new £750m Innovation Chain North construction framework.

Previously known as Innovation Chain North West, the new framework is seeking bids from organisations interested in supplying construction works, modular supply and related consultancy services to a range of housing clients across the north of England.

The framework is open to anyone who wishes to supply goods or services to registered social housing providers or local authorities, and the framework runs for a period of four years (2020-24).

Newbuild construction works are separated by geography and scale of development and capture new homes and social infrastructure. Modular housing delivery is also sought along with principal contractors and groundwork contractors in support of this approach.

Consultancy services are sought including employer’s agent, architecture, principal designer, planning consultant, purchaser’s agent, engineering, site investigation services, building surveying and clerk of works.

Helen Spencer, director of development at Great Places Housing Group, said: “Great Places alone has an ambition to deliver 11,000 new homes by 2028 and we can only achieve this with the support of a range of contractors and consultancy practices. With this in mind, we have designed this framework to enable delivery through traditional contracting, a range of modular supplier routes and with the support of a wide range of consultancy services.

“The framework is in its third renewal and to date has seen delivery of more than 4,000 homes and spend of over £400m. The new framework has been scoped taking on board feedback from clients and existing suppliers. It will extend its geography to cover the whole of the north, and its services to include new lots to support the ambition of our partners in the north.”
