A must-attend event for CEOs and senior executives

Chief executives and senior business executives from some of the leading construction and infrastructure firms across Europe will gather in London on 9-10 November for ACE’s annual European CEO Conference.

This year’s event, entitled Disruptive Forces - Making our industry ready and fit for the Future, combines a hard-hitting business programme with exclusive social and networking opportunities including an evening reception held at the House of Parliament and also the European CEO Awards Gala Dinner to recognise and reward the outstanding leaders from the industry.

The 2016 European CEO of the Year Awards shortlist has recently been announced. Now in their sixth year, the awards recognise and celebrate the efforts of industry executives who have demonstrated outstanding leadership and business best-practice in pan-European engineering and consultancy firms working in the natural and built environment. The conference provides a European forum for discussion and debate between CEOs across the construction and infrastructure sector. Consultancy and engineering firms, contractors, clients, project promotors, key construction decision makers and funders are all welcome at an event that will attract senior industry representatives from the UK and across Europe. The event will also include the presentation of ACE’s annual Europe-wide industry benchmarking report and delegates will also be able to discuss the impact of the economic climate on markets and growth strategies – particularly relevant this year in the aftermath of the UK’s Brexit vote.

The top line-up of speakers includes Alan Brookes from Arcadis, Eric Boudier from Boston Consulting Group, Jorge Unda Malcorra from SENER, Miles Barnard of Mouchel, Bernard Cathelain from the Paris Metro, Jens-Peter Saul from Ramboll, Uwe Krueger from Atkins and many more. Delegates will also be able to take advantage of high level financial and strategic debate to help position and direct their firms’ corporate vision, mission and business strategy and will be equipped with information and tools for business and scenario planning. CEOs will also gain insights and evidence to help plan and manage their business portfolio and merger and acquisition activity.

The event, which takes place at the Park Plaza at Westminster Bridge, is organised by ACE and supported by the International Federation of Consulting Engineers as well as sister engineering business associations across Europe. The two-day forum is held under Chatham House rules and is limited to 100 delegates.

The current list of companies represented reads like a Who’s Who of the sector and includes AECOM, Amey, Arcadis, Arup, Atkins, Capita, COWI, Jacobs, Mott MacDonald, Mouchel, MWH, Nippon Koei, Pell Frischmann, Ramboll, Stantec, Turner & Townsend and many more.
