Ramboll look to Riley to build UK business

Ramboll’s appointment of Mathew Riley as UK managing director is a strong signal of intent of the consultancy’s plans to expand its business in the UK. Riley’s seven years with Arcadis, where he was managing director for the infrastructure, industry and utility sectors across the UK, Middle East and Asia are sure to be used to full effect by Ramboll. Riley’s more than 16 years at BAA will also be valuable experience to be drawn upon.

Riley’s work in property and infrastructure for over 27 years has seen him build up a wealth of experience for client, contractor and consulting organisations. He is a recognised industry expert in devising, implementing and managing the delivery of strategies and programmes to gain maximum shareholder and stakeholder value. In recent years he has advised clients on a number of capital investment programmes, including Thames Water, Heathrow Airport, National Grid and London Underground.

Rile is also active in the industry and is a board member of the Association for Consultancy and Engineering, The Mayor of London’s Infrastructure Delivery Board and the RICS Construction Forum.

“I am excited to join the team at Ramboll, a business recognised for its heritage, exceptional talent and incredible portfolio of projects. I am excited to begin engaging with Ramboll’s clients, understanding their business needs and to create value through the solutions we provide,” Riley said recently.

Søren Holm Johansen, group executive director and chairman of Ramboll UK commented: “We are delighted to welcome someone of Mathew’s calibre to Ramboll. We are committed to expanding our business in the UK and Mathew’s considerable expertise and experience in the industry will help us to achieve this aim.”
