Mitigate your risks by attending ACE’s health and safety seminars

Two forthcoming seminars in London and Glasgow will help consultancy and engineering businesses understand and address current and emerging health and safety risks.

Over the last decade, the UK has seen a decline in the yearly number of incidents in the workplace, yet there has been an increase in prosecutions as well as financial penalties being handed out for breaches in health and safety law since 2014, when compared to previous years.

In addition to financial or legal repercussions for breaches in health and safety law, businesses also risk considerable damage to their brand reputation, which can discourage potential clients.

An ACE seminar, Explore your biggest business risk, taking place in London, will provide attendees with an update from industry experts on key health and safety issues and developments affecting their businesses including:

  • Driving at work - is this your business’ biggest risk?
  • Health and wellbeing - understanding health and wellbeing in the construction sector.
  • Out of office experiences - what are your responsibilities towards employees for out of office activities?
  • Legal update - keeping you up to date with the latest developments in employment law and other legal issues.

Industry experts speaking at the seminar include Mott MacDonald group safety manager Laura Hague, Emma Davies, senior associate at lawyers Penningtons Manches LLP and Saul Jeavons, director of The Transafe Network Limited.

The London seminar takes place at 4pm on Thursday 12 October and is being hosted by ACE affiliate Penningtons Manches LLP.
