Get the lowdown on infrastructure policy at key ACE meeting

Last week’s publication of the National Infrastructure Pipeline highlighted every piece of public sector built environment procurement over the next five years. On Wednesday 22 September, the Association for Consultancy and Engineering (ACE) is holding a special infrastructure policy forum to give more detailed analysis for members on what the pipeline means for the consultancy industry in different regions and sectors.

Simon Lawrence, whose team at the Infrastructure Projects Authority produced the pipeline, will be speaking at the session and will explore the pipeline in more detail. Emma Jane Houghton, head of procurement for the New Hospital Programme (NHP), will also give an update on the opportunities for consultancy firms arising from the NHP and will also take questions.

This special policy forum will give ACE members the opportunity to gain an understanding of the broader political and economic issues affecting the industry. The session will conclude with an interactive Q&A offering attendees the chance to ask questions of all panellists.

ACE director of policy Matthew Farrow said: "These key ACE policy forum sessions bring together the chairs of our different policy groups (Net Zero, Places, Transport and mobility and Procurement and pipeline), with ACE's policy team to discuss our policy and public affairs work and to chart a way forward for our sector. Attendees will gain valuable insights and information from the panellists at this key event."
