Gleeds named one of the UK’s best consulting and professional services by employees

International property and construction consultancy Gleeds has announced that it has officially been named as one of the 2023 UK’s Best Workplaces in Consulting and Professional Services™ by Great Place to Work®, the global authority on workplace culture.

Grahame Harle, CEO at Gleeds, praised the company's people for making it a "standout performer" in its industry, as he described the firm's dedication to giving people "genuine space" to prioritise their wellbeing, work flexibly and progress in their careers. 

It is the fourth time Gleeds has been recognised by Great Place to Work.

Only those businesses who achieve the highest scores after evaluation receive Best Workplaces™ status and Gleeds’ commitment to equality, diversity, inclusion, and wellbeing were highlighted as reasons why the company has been named among the 22 organisations picked in the Large and Super-Large category.

A total of 150 consulting and professional businesses applied to be listed.

Harle said: “Our people are our most important asset, and we inspire them with opportunities to see the world and work on the world’s biggest projects, while giving them genuine space to prioritise wellbeing, leverage flexible working and progression. 

"Their dedication and commitment have made us a standout performer in our industry. 

"This is our fourth recognition from Great Place to Work since becoming accredited in November 2022 – we were also named in Best Workplaces for Wellbeing, Best Workplaces for Women and Best Workplaces UK."

He added as a 138-year-old independent business it is improtant to continuously ask, 'how do we stay fresh and relevant?'

The Best Workplaces in Consulting and Professional Services™ list is created using anonymous feedback from employees working in the industry about their workplace experience.

These insights are used to benchmark the effectiveness of companies' employee value propositions against the culture their employees actually experience.  

Over 90% of Gleeds employees agreed that the business is committed to treating everyone fairly, inclusively, and respectfully, with 87% feeling they can be themselves at work, and four out of five considering Gleeds a truly Great Place to Work. 

Gleeds was also recently shortlisted for Building Awards ‘Employer of the Year’ 2023.
