    A57 Liverpool Road, Salford, Ralumac HT Scheme

    Ralumac HT was chosen for this scheme due to it being a BBA approved double coat, single pass application. The first coat regulates and seals the existing surface, followed by a second coat using a 10mm aggregate. After compaction and embedment the total thickness of this process was 18mm thick, giving the client reduced levels compared to using a traditional overlay.

    Retread is a cold in-situ recycling process which reconstructs the entire carriageway or footway surface to a depth of 75mm. With increasing focus on sustainability, Colas’ Retread process offers a low CO2 emission alternative.     Abbey Street Bridge - Bermondsey’s heritage back on track

    In 2013 we refurbished Abbey Street Bridge, a 177 year-old structure carrying nine modern railway tracks through to London Bridge on what was originally London’s oldest passenger railway line. The structure reopened in October 2013 following extensive restoration works undertaken in partnership with the London Borough of Southwark, The Railway Heritage Trust, and even the Secretary of State.
