Civil Engineer

What is the purpose of this role?

To provide support to a Senior Civil Engineer within a design team in the design of a wide range of civil, structural and environmental engineering projects within the power industry.

The Civil Engineer will be responsible for compliance with all relevant technical standards and ensure the delivery of all the specified project outcomes are on time, within budget and to the highest quality. 

What makes this role unique?

The Civil Engineer will be responsible for implementing the project requirements to fully meet the client specification in accordance with relevant standards. 

What are we looking for?

• Be fully conversant with the design of concrete, steel, timber and masonry design codes with several years post-graduation experience.
• The candidate should be working towards Chartered or Incorporated Engineer (CEng / IEng through ICE, CIHT or IStructE)
• Degree qualified in a relevant Civil/Structural discipline
• Computer literate and conversant with MS Office suite and relevant engineering software packages such as AutoCAD, Tedds and SFrame
• Demonstrable experience in the civil and/or building arena
• Good communication skills and the ability to work within a small team and have a dedicated approach to working within and meeting strict deadlines 
• Good communication skills dealing with clients, developers, consultants, elected representatives and the public 
• Client focused approach to service delivery 
• CDM awareness
• Environmental awareness Tool Box talk 
• Environmental awareness for managers
