What is the purpose of this role?

Assisting the Engineering Team with the production of technically sound design solutions, including design drawings and administration. 

What will this role involve?

  • Preparing and assisting with the production of civil engineering drawings related to the water industry 
  • Checking and reviewing drawings produced by other team members 
  • Working with the wider CAD team to ensure that high quality CAD standards are maintained and implemented 
  • Day-to-day management of junior CAD technicians 
  • Assisting with the preparation of technical documentation and reports 
  • Dealing with project related correspondence 
  • Maintaining high technical standards, consistent with the project brief under direction from the Engineer 
  • Assisting with compliance to the relevant health, safety and environmental legislation, particularly the CDM Regulations 
  • Maintaining a strong client focused relationship 
  • Assisting with the implementation of effective, value for money and innovative design solutions

Requirements 
  • HNC / HND, or equivalent in a relevant discipline 
  • Excellent IT Skills 
  • Water Industry relevant experience 
  • Working knowledge of AUTO CAD
  • Client focused approach to service delivery 

Technical Competencies?

  • Experience of AutoCAD 2D (Civil 3D preferred) 
  • Experience of MicroStationX preferred
