Corporate Social Responsibility

Amey is a member of Business in the Community (BITC) which focuses on reducing unemployment, supporting education for young people, tackling inequality and reducing dependency on natural resources.

We create positive social change by working with our customers, partners and suppliers to maximise long-term benefits for the wider community. This includes supporting the local economy, supporting employment, education and skills, protecting and conserving the environment as well as being an active member of the community.

Green Credentials

Amey’s Group Environment and Sustainability team produce a central Carbon Management Plan, identifying areas of risk and recommendations for improvement across the company. They spearhead pan-Amey working groups addressing specific issues, for example green travel & transport, and energy & water reduction. Across the business we have a variety of initiatives in place to reduce our carbon footprint including Yammer (internal social media) energy champions, green travel plans, low carbon vehicles and carbon awareness training.

Inclusion and Diversity

We value the diversity of our workforce and our aim is to remove barriers for employees in order for them to realise their potential in a transparent culture. Our policy is to treat all employees/workers and job applicants fairly and equally and that means treating everyone as individuals regardless of their age, gender, disabilities, marital status, race, colour, nationality, ethnic or national origins, responsibility for dependants, religion, belief, trade union activity, transsexual or sexual orientation.
